Home Health Community Coordinating with CMS on COVID-19

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to develop, the home health community is working closely with the Administration to offer action-oriented regulatory relief measures aimed at ensuring that all vulnerable patients in need receive care and treatment.

Yesterday during a press conference of the Vice President’s COVID19 Task Force, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma acknowledged our close coordination:

Home healthcare can provide cost-effective, clinically advanced care to those in need. The new guidance from CMS to home health and dialysis providers will help providers remain safe while interacting with their patients.

The home health community will continue to coordinate with the Administration and Congress to ensure our providers, patients and communities remain safe during this time.
