Non-profit BAYADA CEO takes helm of leading home health advocacy organization, calls for policies to protect patient access to home-based care

Washington, D.C. – The Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare (the Partnership) has elected David Baiada, CEO of BAYADA Home Health Care, as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Baiada is assuming the role of Partnership Chair following the leadership tenure of Keith G. Myers, Senior Advisor, Optum, and  Chairman/CEO Emeritus, LHC Group.

BAYADA Home Health Care is a non-profit, national leader in home healthcare, a founding member of the Partnership, and a leading advocate for the Medicare home health and home care patient populations. BAYADA’s founder, Mark Baiada, was a co-founder of the Partnership when it was formed in 2010.

“I am honored to serve as the Partnership Chair to give a voice to the millions of patients we have the privilege of serving and to advocate for the stability and future of the broader home health community,” stated Baiada. “Just as we lead BAYADA with compassion and a desire to help others, I look forward to collaborating with other members of the Partnership to protect and improve access to home healthcare for patients and families across the country.”

“I am very excited to work with David to take the Partnership to the next level of advocacy,” stated Joanne Cunningham, CEO of the Partnership. “At a time when Medicare home health faces staggering cuts, and patients are finding it increasingly harder to heal and age in the home setting they prefer, the Partnership’s advocacy efforts are essential to the future of quality home-based care – the setting where patients want to be the most.”

“I look forward to building upon the important strides the Partnership has made in advocating for the home health community and the patients who entrust us with their care,” added Baiada.
