Washington, DC – The Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare – a coalition of home health providers dedicated to improving the integrity, quality, and efficiency of home healthcare for our nation’s seniors – today applauded the full confirmation of Seema Verma to serve as the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

“The Partnership fully supports the confirmation of Ms. Verma as CMS’ next Administrator and stands ready to work with her to implement patient focused policy solutions that reduce regulatory burdens and increase access to home healthcare services,” stated Keith Myers, Chairman of the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare. “Ms. Verma’s experience in the healthcare field as well as her impressive leadership background make her uniquely poised to strengthen the Medicare home health benefit.”

The Partnership echoed this sentiment in a letter to the Senate Finance Committee and underscored the value of home healthcare to the overall healthcare delivery system in a letter sent to Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, MD last month.

Nationwide, 3.5 million Americans receive the Medicare home health benefit which is widely regarded as clinically advanced, cost-effective and patient preferred.
