Opinion: Medicare cuts threaten home health care for aging Missourians

Right now, across Missouri, nearly 50,000 people rely on the Medicare home health benefit. But this patient population is increasingly at risk of losing access to home health in the future.
Even though most people would prefer to recuperate in the comfort and safety of their own home when recovering from a hospitalization, continued cuts to Medicare’s home health benefit are making that harder to do.
