AccentCare Joins the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare
Posted in: Press Release
The Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare today announced that AccentCare has joined the coalition of home healthcare leaders, which represents more than 2,000 home health agencies nationwide. A recognized leader in home healthcare, AccentCare has 110 locations across the country and employs more than 15,000 highly trained clinicians and dedicated professionals to meet a wide range of needs for patients in the comfort, dignity and safety of their own homes.
Since its inception in 2010, the Partnership has been a leading advocate for America’s seniors who rely on skilled nursing and rehabilitative therapies ordered by a physician and administered by an interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, therapists and social workers in their home. Home healthcare provides an invaluable service to those recovering from a hospital stay or managing a chronic illness.
“AccentCare is proud to join an organization that has tirelessly advocated for seniors and the trained professionals who provide daily care to our nation’s vulnerable seniors and those with disabilities,” stated Steve Rodgers, CEO of Accent Care. “Our mission aligns with the Partnership’s mission to improve the quality of care and quality of life for all home healthcare patients.”
“AccentCare and the leadership of Steve Rodgers brings a valuable perspective to the Partnership and will elevate our efforts to ensure home healthcare is available to all those who need it,” added Eric Berger, CEO of the Partnership. “We are proud to welcome AccentCare to the Partnership and look forward to working with them as we strive to strengthen access to quality home healthcare in America.”
Home healthcare is widely regarded as clinically advanced, cost-effective and patient preferred. Many treatments and therapies once only available in a hospital or institutional setting are now safely administered at home. The cost of home healthcare is significantly less than care in institutional settings and prevents costly hospital readmissions by keeping patients healthy at home. Most importantly, home healthcare is preferred by a majority of American seniors according to an AARP study, which found that nine out of 10 seniors prefer to age in place.
